The Backcountry Access Float 30 backpack was BCAs first entry last year in the avalanche airbag pack category and has set the standard for others to follow. The BCA Float 30 pack is designed to reduce the number one factor in avalnche deaths which is excavation time and trauma. By preventing the user from being buried initially and to protect the head from trauma caused by avalanche debris. The Float series of airbag packs are affordable, easy to use and reusable. BCA has a wide network of authorized refill centers who provide unmatched service to purchasers of their Float Systems. The BCA Float 30 utilizes a small 2700-psi compressed air cylinder, a single chamber 150 liter airbag, and a super efficient venturi system for deployment. Avalanche protection has never been more affordable or reliable than the BCA Float 30 airbag pack so do not venture off the trail without one. (Airbags are not a replacement for avalanche training, practice, and wise decision making in the backcountry.  So be responsible and always practice safe skiing and avalanche danger assessment.)
